The list server will likely strip off the attachment - the list has been
Sanitized for your Protection(tm) so that viruses don't get sent out.

Because sending it to the list will automatically get it put in the
archives, I advocate mailing it to the list.  This list has a pretty
good signal/noise ratio, so I dont think people will complain about
this.  As you say, HTH is an area no one ever seems happy with.
