Re: (TFT) A Thought on the St Cost to Renew Spells

Here are a some ways that come to mind. I've written four different example rules for the same idea. Each is prefaced with the approach.

as an extension of an existing spell.
if the character knows aid they may take over maintenance of a spell cast on them. Even if they don't know the spell themselves. It still requires an entire action and DX roll to cast Aid.

as an expansion of the thrown spell category.
if the subject of a thrown spell is willing, they may spend the fatigue strength to maintain it. But they may never take control of the spell if the wizard who casts it continues to pay the fatigue. The fatigue is spent during the renew spells phase and requires no DX roll.

as a side effect of a specific wizard's spell casting
anyone who has control person cast on them and eventually resists it, can now maintain any benificial thrown spell cast on them by the same wizard.

arcane knowledge
introduce any of the above variations as a lost, forgoten, then legendary book. but introduce the book as just one specific thrown spell. Like ''maintainable iron flesh'', or ''maintainable spell sheild'', or ''maintainable blur''. This book can be used to learn the spell like any other talent. Or if the wizard already has a version of the spell in question they can learn it in a day.
