If you figure the ultimate club is a baseball bat and the ultimate club
swinger is a professional baseball player, we can get a pretty good idea of
the forces involved.  I did a quick search on "bat speed" on the internet
and here is what I found:

A good player can swing a 33oz bat at about 95mph (I don't know where in the
bat this is measured, but I would assume near the sweet spot).  33oz is .935
kg.  95mph is 42.5 m/s.  This puts the momentum at 39.7 kg m/s which using
Rick's example would knock the 100kg guy back at about 0.4 m/s.  I think
this would be enough to knock him back a hex or so.
