(TFT) multiple dice

Here's a question for the group.

(I apologize in advance to those in my Arthurian TFT group who have already
seen me talk about this).



When rolling more or less dice than 3d6, do people use the rules as laid out
in ITL where the chance of autohits and automisses are roughly the same
regardless of the dice used, or some other method?



Just noticing that keeping it roughly the same means a small range of
"effective" (i.e. not automatic) numbers, no matter how many dice are
rolled.
