(TFT) Re: TRAVLR, gaming lists

Re Traveller: agreed, amen, same experience.  Loved fiddling with the whole
game system, never found a group! About combat, GDW had a combat system for it
that was called SNAPSHOT, but that never seemed to flow properly either.

Question: I bet there are a bunch of mail lists like this one, for other games
like Trav, Titan, Gamma W, and so on... Has anybody ever done a survey to make
a single website linking all the lists?  Not sure about the utility: my heart
belongs to TFT, why would I and others like me care about say a Cosmic
Encounters list... but it would be nice to cobble together a larger community,
I suppose!  Anybody know if it's been done?

  was attracted to the idea of Traveller, but when I tried to playtest
  scenarios, the action just didn't seem to flow correctly.  I really liked
  toying around with designing ships, planets, bureaucratic processes,
  governments, etc.  but never had the opportunity to play.  I don't think it
  was weird, I just think I just got used to a simpler combat system with
TFT,
  so D&D, Traveller, Car Wars, etc all seemed to move so much slower.  Either
  that or I'm just not the brightest bulb in the bunch!I look forward to our
