Outbuilding space requirements for livestock, beddings and feeds
Space requirements for Beef
(sq. ft. / head)
FEEDLOTS
20' in barn & 30' in lot for a surfaced lot with free access to the barn.
50' for a surfaced lot.
150-800 (depending on grade of pasture) for a unsurfaced lot.
20-25 sq. ft. of sunshade required per head.
150lbs of manure per full grown cow per day.
BUILDING with feedlots
20-25 for cattle 600lbs to market
15-20 for calves to 600lbs
When in a barn each head requires 1/2 ton of bedding.
COLD CONFINEMENT buildings
30 for solid floor, bedded.
17-18 for solid floor, flushing flume.
17-18 for totally or partly slotted.
100 for calving pen.
1 pen/12 cows for calving space.
Space requirements for Sheep
SHELTER SPACE
Open front building with lot:
10-12 per Ewe
12-16 per Ewe w/lambs
6-8 per feeder lamb
Lot:
25-40 per Ewe (also w/lambs)
15-20 per feeder lamb
Confinement
12-16 per Ewe
15-20 per Ewe w/lamb
8-10 per feeder lamb

125 and up 8 or 5 indoors, 13 outdoors
Pasture space
10 gestating sows per acre
7 sows w/litter per acre
50 to 100 growing-finishing pigs per acre (depending on fertility)

4 per pig to 100lbs
6 per pig over 100lbs

Turkeys go to 26 weeks and need 4 sq. ft. by that size. The breeders require twice this space.
I've got ducks and geese as well but with fowl MANY factors determine the floor space requirements.
Hay, Beddings and Feeds
Hay - loose, shallow mows 4 lbs per ft^3 and 512 cubic feet per ton.

Hay - baled tight 12 - 167
Hay - long cut 8 - 250

Straw - loose 2 to 3 - 1000 to 667

Small grains use 4/5 of weight of one bushel to get weight per cubic foot in pounds.
