Jay,

Being your friend of 22 years has granted me one luxury, and so that  
I no longer have to translate your posts to get to the nugget of  
wisdom which is always there, I employ my privilege and invoke..

Jay's Law.

What is Jay's Law?  Jay's Law is a protocol of communication which  
forces you to preface or append every long rambling post you make  
with the following form (completed, of course).

1.  What does this relate to?
2.  What is it specifically about?
3.  What changes or greater level of understanding am I suggesting  
(if any at all)?

If you would do this for me, and the other list members, I assure you  
that we will continue to enjoy your nuggets of wisdom.  To further  
illustrate my point, I will fill this form out for this very letter.

1.  What does this relate to?

This relates to my current level of difficulty in understanding your  
somewhat lengthy, but unfortunately disorganized posts. I want to  
hear what you are saying.

2.  What is it specifically about?

A suggestion for Jay so that this very valid and interesting  
discourse will be more accessible to the rest of us (or, at least, to  
me).

3.  What changes or greater level of understanding am I suggesting  
(if any at all)?

That each post is prefaced or appended with a copy of this completed,  
3-question form.
