Re: (TFT) Jay's Law -- Rick's comments on Jay's posts.
Hi Jay, David, and everyone,
Jay, I assume that you would not mind a bit of
constructive criticism.
I am a very busy person and I confess I normally
drop your posts directly in my trash. It is not
worth my time to try to piece together the 'nugget
of wisdom' that David mentioned.
I have been taught, that it is very important for
a writer to make his or her writing as strong, as
organized and as easy to understand as possible. It
really _feels_ to me that someone who makes rambling,
disorganized posts is wasting my time. It is very
nearly an insult to that writer's readers.
I am not saying that you intend to waste your
reader's time. I am NOT saying that you are
intending to insult them. But everyone of your
posts rub me the wrong way. So 95%+ of them end up
in the trash unread.
I am NOT demanding that you change. But since the
issue of your posting style has come up explicitly,
I thought you might wish to hear my thoughts.
Warm regards, Rick.
