No wait... It's like THIS, see:

The three of us were traveling adventure's dangerous road - minding our own 
business - when a rabid and most blood-thirsty bear came charging out of the 
woods directly toward us.

Our friend (whom we had come to know as Bjeorn Bear-Buddy) shouted, "Run For 
It, Lads" as he bravely leapt into the monster's path.

In those frantic moments, we could hear Bjeorn's skillful - nay, 
'Masterful' - attempts to charm the bear - to calm his rage-  but as the gap 
closed between man and beast it became apparent that the primal fury of the 
charging bear would not be assuaged despite the most expert handling.

The thing that we did next, we did for sheer love of our dear companion.  An 
act which some might call unthinkable in other circumstances was, on this 
dark day, the most prudent and civil of all acts.  For at that moment, we 
knew that the only help we could give to our brave friend, Bjeorn, was to 
spare him the impending violent and brutal mauling that loomed seconds away.
. . . . . . . . .
Fly the Arrow!
Whirl the Axe!
And swiftly to thy mark!

Waits the Barrow,
Mercy, Wax
in Rest, in Peace, in Dark.
. . . . . . . . . .

And thus we rightly did what must be done, and we did so as faithful 
friends, and as humble servants of the Brave Bjeorn Bear-Buddy.
