I am imagining a hilarious "hobbit wars" melee scenario with dozens of hobbits all hurling fistfulls of sha-ken.
How many unarmored hobbits can one grenade kill? ;-)
Who thinks the Shadow and Wall spells are useless?
I do think that giving hobbits a high racial DX bonus to missile weapons is a bit much. One adjustment that comes to mind make it not cumulative with thrown/missile weapons talents.
Shield Rush is useful in all situations where it's useful to knock someone down, and the attempting character has no better way to do so, which is actually quite a few situations, it seems to me. I think people mainly just forget about it or don't think of it.
Isn't it clear that a GM can always overrule reaction rolls based on situation? Sure the guard thinks you seem like a nice person, but that doesn't change his orders.
