(TFT) What does +1 mean... exactally?!?

Just what is going on with magical weapons?
Finely made needs a think too.

Like so.

+1's are given to DX (1 second / Figure DX) or damage for "balance" or "craftsmanship" to "a sword, pole arm, hammer, mace, or ax (but no other weapon)".

Ughhhh.

I don't care for this.

It's a poorly shared imaginative concept that is covered up in most situations by the "general use" of the mechanic/rule/s. In other words, a player may feel their +1 dam sword gets its extra damage from an enhanced ability to hold an ultra sharp edge while the GM may feel the thing works differently. It's a poor time for the player to find out the GM's actual perceptions of the +1 on the sword when the player is trying to use the blades sharpness creatively. Assuming the Figure is a hero who is familiar with the finely made sword, like using it for years, finding out that the GM had some other idea about why the thing gets its plus is a real 'bubble buster' imaginatively speaking.

I don't wanna talk about that right now.
Right now I wanna talk about right now.
I'll be back in a bit.
