Re: (TFT) please help (OT?)
The "prow" effect probably oscillates a bit for exactly that reason,
swimming back and forth across the front of the ship's lane of travel.
Anything in the way is probably handled in whatever way is best for
it, which can be determined pretty far in advance given ST's magic
sensors.
