Re: (TFT) TFT: Square Bases

I recently bit the bullet and ordered 1" hex bases from Litko Aerosystems in order to re-base all my Heroclix figures. Even though it's not for TFT, I chose hex bases because my favorite superhero game is Champions, and they also look good on Heroscape tiles.

The wooden Litko bases are about as cheap as you can get, even including shipping, but you do have to buy in (relative) bulk. I prime the bases on both sides before I mount figures on them, and so far I've had no warping.

TFT is more of a conundrum for me because most of my fantasy miniatures are already based on 1" squares for D&D. I actually have grown to prefer the hex bases, but hex bases don't *quite* fit on 1" squares and 1" squares don't *quite* fit on hexes. So if I'm playing D&D on a battlemat the hex bases don't work perfectly, and if I'm playing TFT the square bases don't work perfectly.
