Re: (TFT) Casting spells and DX

Good idea.

Not sure how much I'd like it in practice but it makes sense.

On the other hand the difference between "showy" wizards who are always accurate with their spells and "brainy" wizards who might take longer but can do much more powerful things was interesting.

Per Advanced Wizard, if a wizard casts a spell below his IQ level by 5 or more points, he can do it without moving. However, the roll he makes to cast it is still against DX, which doesn't make an exceeding amount of sense.

So my proposal is that, for every 2 points by which a wizard's IQ is above that required for a spell, the wizard gets a +1 DX to cast it. This makes smarter wizards much more likely to succeed at casting basic spells, which to my mind makes a lot of sense.

Has anyone done anything similar in their games?
