Re: (TFT) Best starting Melee character revisited

Hi all,
Back when we first got Melee, a friend and I played
a lot of games trying to figure out the best figure.
When someone won, then the other guy got to make a
figure who could beat the champion. There was a
meta - game where you tried to have a champion beat
so many people in a row, that his attributes were
so high he was sure to win against a 32 attribute
fighter.

My strategy was to take a fighter with a DX one higher
than my opponent. If we ended up in a race for the
highest DX, I would wait until the enemy had a very
light weapon, and then swap in a guy with heavy
armor.

Sometimes if I knew the enemy was designing a figure
to beat my character, I would fool him by changing
my armor and shields in a big way. (So he is
expecting a DX 11 spearman, I would show up to the
fight with a shortsword, plate and large shield.)

The main thing I got from this was the 'best fighter'
is a function of the enemy and what situation he is
fighting in.

Warm regards, Rick.
