Re: (TFT) Avalon Hill's "Down with the King".

Well, believe it or not, I had written them up on the computer (this is obvi
ously a rewrite from the old original tables, but it appears to be pretty v
erbatim to me), and I found them in a mass of stuff I have stored on my com
puter for TFT.  These were developed for the rules as written, and, as
best I can remember, were based on a group effort and a risk/reward paradi
gm which meant that the more you had to "pay" to use a table, the bigger th
e potential benefit or loss would be.

If I were to use these now, I would wind up pretty much re-writing them in
view of my adoption of DCG's experience points system.  I might even m
ake the players sacrifice some XP to use some of the tables, gambling that
they would receive more by doing so....
Speaking of gambling, the gambling system was pretty much straight out of E
n Garde as I recall, and while we have a gambling table, the players could
instead opt to "gamble" using the gambling game as opposed to rolling on th
e table.  Usually it revolved around whether they just wanted money, o
r they also wanted to see if there was a duel forced on them by random even
t.  I think I also have another tavern gambling game around here somew
here that could be used, but I'll have to look around some more.

Anyway, here they are.  I'm also attaching the DWTK prestige tables in
pdf format for everyone's general awareness....  See the attachments.

Hi Jeffrey,
If the 'down time' tables are written up, I would be curious to see
them.

  Warm regards, Rick.
