Rick,
Like all your rules, it seems well balanced and well thought out. The
rules are complete in and of themselves and seem to do what you want them
to.
However...
Would I use this in my game? No, probably not. Why? Becau
se it's a little too fiddly for my (or my players') taste. "Whe
re's that line again? Wait, does it go along there, or there?"
It's a brilliant idea, like most of the thoughts you've shared with us thus
far, but when you start adding all these brilliant ideas together, you sta
rt to move more into GURPS territory as opposed to staying in TFT territory
.
You do amazingly good work, and genuinely think your way through everything
you propose, and I could even see some kind of variant "Runestone" magic i
tem (as a relatively minor stand-alone effect, skipping the "line" business
) as possibly being something to consider -- especially if it could be a pl
ot device to trigger a campaign arc of some kind; but overall, I tend to sh
oot for lower complexity and less in the way of unique rule effects to try
and remember in my games.
Again, a very well written proposal, which, sadly, I probably won't use...
v/rJeff

Hi all,
I've added a new page to the TFT website. It can be found here
....
http://tft.brainiac.com/RicksTFT/SpellsTFT/RuneStones_InTFT.html
I would appreciate if people could read thru it and let me know if t
he
article is clear of if there are questions that people have.
Warm regards, Rick.
