Re: (TFT) New file added to Rick's rules. New Armor in TFT.

Ah, that would be one reason why I was confused, but can you explain why the Threshold number is LESS than the No Negatives number on your armor table? That is certainly contributing to my confusion... ;-)

PS, yes I had read the article (thus my comment that I was confused there too).

 Hi Jeff,
I am assuming that you have read the
"Advantages of Great ST" article which
describes the advantages of high ST on armor in
 detail.

   Actually, you
have it backwards.  At the No Negatives #, neither your DX
 or MA
is penalized.  At the Threshold #,
you start to be penalized less, starting with DX.

If there are not rules on
something, treat it as per normal.  This is particularly
 true for names.

   Warm regards, Rick.

and No Negatives Number is confusing.  You state that at
the Threshold Number neither your DX nor your MA are
penalized.  Then, at the No Negatives Number, you state
that "your great strength is kicking in" and you
suffer one less DX penalty.  Since the Threshold Number
precedes the "No Negatives Number" in each case,
does that mean that when you get to the no negatives number,
your DX actually IMPROVES by one (say, if your base DX is
12, due to your great strength, it now becomes a 13)?  This
is the same issue I had with the Great Strength rules a
while back -- it seems internally contradictory and clearly
not what you intend.  Can you please fix the description to
 make it clearer?

Sorry to always sound negative; but I guess that's the
 nature of "critique."

additions, though you're assuming knowledge on our part
as to details of things like Goblin Chain, or Elven Chain,
 as John pointed out below...
