First edition rocked.

Hi all,
I preferred the first edition, 100%.  Getting shadow hexes that were
blue and fire hexes that were red were nice.  And while the first
edition cover was not as airbrushed, it showed a story that could
actually happen with the Wizard rules.

Plus, the cover art was way cooler (in my personal opinion)!  ;-)

Yeah, mine came with a map and one purple counter sheet but was in a plastic sleeve, and looks like this (note the price): https://www.boardgamegeek.com/image/69383/wizard

Images of the "earlier cover art" edition show it with a $3.95 price: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/image/69381/wizard

Now I want the red and blue first-edition wizard counters!
