Re: Differences - Old vs New?

Briefly, aside from some annoying "SJW" changes (now, not all orcs are evil; only "some" of them), I note a somewhat clarified Pole Weapons rule (though it implies Pole Weapon attacks are resolved before ranged weapon attacks due to poor phrasing), new limits on Missile Spells (3 ST maximum may be used in any Missile Spell -- even though the example given for Magic Fist uses more ST than that), and the addition of a very nice separate Spell listing booklet (or "grimoire") which is an excellent idea.  Of note, they chose not to re-write some of the opponents in the Death Tests to take into account the new 40 point limit on characters (meaning those opponents are super-human in capabilities now), and they introduce the concept of "powerstones" in Death Test 2 without any explanation in ANY of the books thus far released of how those work (thus at least implying that the ST in a powerstone can be used to absorb damage instead of only to cast spells).  I haven't really reviewed Tollenkar's Lair yet other than to skim it.

Mind you, I'm still reading through all the material, but those are the major differences I've stumbled across thus far.  I'm sure others will identify additional ones.

v/r,
Jeff

Subject: Differences - Old vs New?

I'm curious if anyone has downloaded the pdf and read through it enough to talk about the differences between this new version of TFT and the old one.
