(TFT) Ebay, reputations and Steve Jackson

Jean McGuire clued me into this:

Take a look at auction item #82128559 posted on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=82128559

The critical text is as follows:

> Metagaming is where lots of classic games have come from including Car
> Wars, Illuminati, The Fantasy Trip gaming system and it is where Steve
> Jackson got his start and alledgedly usurped several ideas and
> eventually put Metagaming out of business through lawsuits and
> copyright infringements.

This is, of course, very wrong. Car Wars and Illuminati were post-
metagaming, and I don't believe that SJG "put Metagaming out of business."
I believe Howard managed that all by himself! Perhaps a visit with the
Clue Stick is in order.

"He's an AOLamer, of course, (aren't they all?) and can be contacted at
ansonhahn@aol.com." said Jean.
