(TFT) Ethics of Copyright

Hi Joel,
In my last post I was in a bit of a hurry but I would like
to expand what I was saying a bit.

As someone whos lively hood depends on copywrite,
it would be pretty hypocritical of me to not honor the rules.
Now the copywright laws (like many laws) are on a continuum
of behaviour. If the origional is in print and someone is stealing
it and selling it, is pretty sleezy. The current case where the
origional is long out of print, and you are doing this just to
spread the rules around and complete your collection is realisticly
not hurting anyone.

The law recognizes this since no one will prosecute you
for what you were doing.

The case is boarderline for me. If I had no recourse I
would probably rationalize things, but since I have things to trade
that I own free and clear, I don't have to do something I would
feel weird about.

I don't mean any critisism to you by my behaviour, I
just feel better doing things this way.

	Rick
