IMHO, YMMV

Steel Flesh is good, but I would rather express the 'diminishing
returns' (Good Call, BTW) by making the maintenance cost 2 per turn.  I
just don't like the DX and MA costs, but that's just me.

Break Bone sounds better to me as Rend, and it's just the spell a
certain Noblin Shaman needed to keep a certain Gargoyle mage in line...
