Of the three best book to film adaptations I've ever seen, two have been
animations. Both of these left scenes out from necessary time restraints,
neither ever added significance to any aspect of the original story. The
huevos it takes to say that I could make Tolkin better..... no sense. Not
implying that someone couldn't do a great re-telling of Tolkin, maybe even
better but for goodness sake call it something else. Don't hang the LOR
title on it if you "improved" it simply to get people to come see it.
