(TFT) Illusory Light?

Oyez, Oyez, assembled worthies!

Before the court today, the case of Illusory Light.

Or more clearly, does an Illusion of a firey or glowing object emit
light such that it may be used to read by?  

Does it truly illuminate its surroundings?

Or would the mind of each nearby 'reader' provide its own words for the
illuminated page?

Or would the page still be 'no better lit', perhaps seeming to be text
that had faded?

Or perhaps some other approach?
