OK, let's see. If you have that 32 point joe, without the magic he's got a
50% chance to hit normally, 83.8% with the sword. (remember the leather
armor)

If he's the DX 10 wimp, he's got a 26% chance normally, and 62.5 with the
sword.

If DX 11, 37.5% and 74%.

I'd say it's more effective percentage-wise.
