The Aid spell has many good uses, but it does not nerf martial talents.
Aid can be used to give some concentrated abilities which can be quite
effective in certain circumstances, and ineffective in others. It takes
time to cast and wears off quickly, and there are ways to avoid combat
for a turn or two while spells that enhance fighting abilities wear off
and drain wizards' strength.
