(TFT) Tollenkar's Lair map, and how to read it?

I was reading Tollenkar's Lair, and in the back they have a map.  What I don't
know is how big each hex is supposed to represent.  In the key, it makes
mention of a symbol that would signify a small tunnel with a width of only 1
hex.  It then mentions other tunnels are a megahex wide (which is 7 hexes in
all).  In the book it has diagrams of certain special rooms, but they are
pictured as they are on the map.  So if a room is pictured as 6 hexes in a
diagram, is it really 42 hexes in all?
