Re: (TFT) Damage from falling in Zero-g

g=9.81 m/s2  at Earth normal

I've always taken the Traveller rule to be a saving throw vs Dx for falls <
3m as your greatest risk for a fit adventurer is a sprain or bruise.

In zero-G it is difficult to accelerate much beyond jumping speed.

Now it gets interesting. Risk of injury depends on how you land. "It's not
the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end".

according to http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2006/accelerometer.shtml in a
hop the feet move at a max acceleration of 56.41 m/s2 (>1G) while the head
only moved at 27.65m/s2 (>0.5G) so the body as a whole can accelerate to
about 0.5G<v<1G. Which makes sense as elite high-jumpers (and long jumpers)
can clear just over head high on earth.

So given a stationery start and pushing off with both legs, I'd saving roll
vs DX with critical failure meaning an injury. Just failing would mean you
bounce off the wall and go spinning in another direction.
