Re: (TFT) Pickup line Discrepancy

I always read it as the 3MA penalty being for picking something up along your move... while you can always move full and pick up something as an action instead.

In combat you can bend down and pick up a weapon

However, if you are unengaged and not wasting time
being paranoid about being chopped you have more
flexibility. You may scoop a weapon for 3 MA
during the movement phase.

Actually I believe that there are two versions
of this, one where you spend 0 MA and have to
make a DX roll and one where you do it automatically
but spend 3 MA. Is my memory correct on this?

I was reviewing TFT to train folks. Ya know? keep the blood line moving? I found a discrepancy in picking up things. On page 5 it says picking up an object costs 3MA, in a hurry 3d vs etc. But then later on in the rules under dropping weapons, its says you can pick the weapon up as a combat option, and use it next
turn.

Can you all fill me in on this?
