Re: (TFT) Pole weapons in Rick's campaign - Play styles.
I can't remember who said it but I think it was Jeffrey, we want a realis
tic flavor not exact realism. I don't care if orc #1 broke his rib or no
t, the minus 2 DX penalty is good enough. When I specifically want to ta
rget something there are aimed shots rules.
As long as it seems right, generally we don't mess with it. But if some
thing seems wonky, out of wack or too easy then you change it. That is y
our option, could you adapt your tactics to David's rules if he is GM? Su
re one thing might be more pole arms and more ranged weapons in your part
y group. Another might targeting priority. Again as long as it is fun g
o with it.
Some people like vanilla, other might like chocolate and still other mig
ht want Neapolitan ice cream. It's all personal taste. Arggh now I am h
ungry.

And now to be fair, boomerang shield etc aside!
Some things that ARE realistic about TFT:
1. Melee combat is deadly and numbers will defeat the greatest her
o
2. Good formations and tactics will wipe the floor against uncoord
inated
mob (but see 1)
