       Hi Meg,
From my readings, I've gotten the impression that shields are a
         bigger
defence than regular TFT shows. I've beefed up shields in these
ways.

         1) I've made the Agis shield that stops 3 and gives people a -2
adj
         DX.

         2) I've added two new talents, Shield 2 and Shield 3. These are
         listed
         below:

         IQ 9
Shield 2 ( 2) Coreq Shield and an adj DX of 13+
Your shield now stops an extra 2 hits from attacks thru your fro
nt
         hexes.

         IQ 11
Shield 3 (2) Coreq Shield 2 and an adj DX of 16+
If you have a shield ready and are attacked thru your front hexe
s with a
non-missile weapon, the attacker is at a -3 DX adjustment.

A few months ago, there was a discussion of shield walls, which
also
         make
         shields more powerful.

This fits into my philosophy of allowing TFT characters do aweso
me
         things
         if they are good enough.

         Warm regards, Rick.
