Given you don't roll dice for characters in TFT I assume you mean you actually rolled up a semi-sapient creature.

This is a common habit amongst stupidity smokers. Secret methods are used to render the prootwaddle highly malleable, so it can be flattened out into a flat hairy throw rug. This is dried, cut into strips of convenient size and rolled up with the hair on the inside. When the hair is set alight, smoke may be drawn through the centre by the smoker's lung power. The effect is similar to but milder than a stupidity potion, or reading Jay's e-mails. Afterwards the prootwaddle can be reassembled without harm well that's what we tell people.

Anyway, I'd say it depends on how Your gameworld has been set stat-cap-wise for races with realistic capping humans at 30 or so while heroic Conan types are capping higher and yada.
Increase IQ is a 4d6 risk against ST I think if more than 6 doses are imbibed in a month elseif -1 IQ perm which might apply
Also requires 1 fresh human brain
Also any attribute can magically increase by a maximum of +5 with aid and potions etc adding on but not other magic enchantments as I recall ergo a +1 gizmo and a +2 doodad don't add to +3 instead the plus two doodad drowns out the gizmo +1 fwiw
A wish is limited to no more than 16 for a stat which "I" read as human w/stat cap @ 30pts or just over half max but that's reading into it a bit isn't it?
However when overmaxing stats I keep in mind the problem of the Universe doubling in size instantly... Yes Viagra We WOULD notice it and I also put heavy time requirements that eat into the maintaining of the Figure's Talents and similar downtime schedule stuff which generally diminishes the return not to mention what happens to the bell-curve on a large number of dice throw where it's more of a speed bump than it is a hill but if the race isn't built with big @$$ed clown feet that fit the shoes talkin surface area of the sole not the fractional soul issue it's hard to talk about with ones tongue tacked to the working end of a ten foot pole but Algernon know nuthin.
