Re: TFT live at Kickstarter

I certainly can't tell anyone else where they should spend their money. I confess, though, that I am not an old-timer. I have acquired a few of the modules, but I have never had a physical, paper copy of the rulebooks.

So I'm pretty stoked about the KS. I'd certainly suggest any fans of the game, even if they aren't sold on the idea of having a "spare" or shinier copy, with new and possibly fancier components, should consider trying to sell any younger gamers of their acquaintance on the KS. It's likely to lead to the publication of new modules and such, which may benefit you even if you already own everything from the old days, and in triplicate.

Two points that work for you Joe.

However, to answer you, I think I’ll use my funds to splurge on other games I don’t yet own.

And while I’m not privy to SJGames financial status I’m pretty sure they laughed all the way to the bank with Munchkin.

So yep, to each his own I guess. I just thought I’d start a conversation about why jump on the band wagon, get all excited, and buy this.

I’m not sold that it has anything to offer for us old, long time players.

So really, why should I buy into this?

To each his own, but given what I put into getting the entire set of
Metagaming games, I'm happy to splurge a bit and get the big box.

I'm also thrilled that SJ will make some money off his games after all
these years.
