Re: Hob-goblin Companion Cavalry

Clydesdale's are a rough approx of the medieval knights charger but travel was on palfreys

Many people don't realise how large a cavalcade a knight can require. One knight (or, depending on period, man at arms) might have a palfrey to ride when not killing people, possibly a remount for when the palfrey gets tired, a warhorse to ride when killing people, a pack horse to carry his armour (since most of the time he isn't wearing it), if he has a squire that's another horse or several, and if he needs to carry e.g. fodder...

Nice stuff on pre-stirup tack
Type of animal gets interesting as well as learned gaits apart from natural gaits and boar gaits I guess but it's not the worst misconception to phrase it up that a horse has in effect 2 pair of legs legs being roughly twice as strong as arms
Clydesdale's are a rough approx of the medieval knights charger but travel was on palfreys and for encumbrance type consideration thoroughbred handicaping is interesting albeit speed for speeds sake not the equine Barry Sanders turn on a dime type shuttle runs quarter horses can put in and individual animals differ enough that they ought get a Figure treatment IMHO
