Re: THX Joe! [Re: It's here!]

I remember reading way back in 2000, when we were discussing acquiring the rights to the game, many people said that it wouldn't be economically viable... Well after 300K plus for the game and a bunch more for the Hexagram and adventures I think we can put that discussion to bed.

This list almost certainly has had a huge impact on keeping TFT alive, the number of members may not be staggering but over the years we have had a lot of people scroll through the pages.  This is a hardcore fan base that SJG's knew they could tap into.

Honestly, I mostly agree with you on the rules changes.  But you know what?   Those megahexes, new counters, and all the other play-aids are well worth the $60, even if I "forget" to use the new rulebook!  So any way I look at it, I feel like I got my money's worth out of it.  Plus, it's just great having TFT on the "active" list again.  Thanks Joe, Rick, and all the gang...

And I got a tracking number! 2 days after I got the package! Even more LOL!

The curious thing is that I don't even like most of the rule changes from
what I've read here.

Still, I'm glad that Steve used those regulations to get TFT back, and I'm
glad there's at least a reprint. And I do agree that Joe probably had a
non-zero effect on that, as well as all of you out on the list.

Yay us!
