Makes perfect sense. I was merely thinking of how people with thrown weapons talent are able to quickly retrieve the next object to throw. It seems like the reload time is partially a reset of the sling cord, and partially grabbing the shot and loading it. Two hands are definitely required.I can also imagine though, having 3 slings all loaded, each with different lengths. The ones further in might be secured with a bandana-like cloth, and readied by pulling that cloth off with a slipknot.Richard--On Thu, Nov 18, 2021 at 5:17 PM Rick <rick_ww@lightspeed.ca> wrote:--Hi Richard, everyone. From what I’ve seen on various videos, slings are not asaccurate as bows, but the heavier ammo does more damage.I saw a video where a staff sling throwing a fairly heavy rockhit a coconut covered in 1 cm of ballistic jelly. It took severalshots at ~8 meters range to hit, but when it did, it cracked thecoconut right open.Re: Thrown weapons. All slings are missile weapons. Imight allow you to fire once per turn if you have a very highDX. If that is the case, then Missile Weapons talent WOULDhelp.Warm regards, Rick.On Nov 18, 2021, at 1:55 PM, Angelina Defense <angelina.defense@gmail.com> wrote:I think that if you were to employ "thrown weapons" or "quick draw" type talents with that staff, you could load and throw every round. I don't think it would be as accurate as a bow for long distances. But short distances it might do a lot of damage.RichardOn Wed, Nov 17, 2021 at 10:10 PM David Bofinger <bofinger.david@gmail.com> wrote:I suspect an expert would shave a lot more than a second or two, if they wanted to. I mean look at his staff, it's just a stick. And he isn't really trying to be fast.--DavidOn Thu, 18 Nov 2021 at 06:27, Rick <rick_ww@lightspeed.ca> wrote:Hi all,This video here…… is about Staff Slings. The main thing I learned was he took about 11 seconds toreload it. Assuming an expert could shave a second or two offthat time, allowing it to fire once per 2 turns seems fair. This iswhat I had guessed. No changes needed for my rules.Warm regards, Rick.--
