The LoU system is very different from TFT, but DoU's turn sequencing is
very close to TFT. In fact, it's almost identical to the Quick Combat
System given in section 8 of Advanced Melee (p29). In the QCS (and DoU),
all figures are considered to be acting simultaneously, where in the
regular rules, nothing happens simultaneously. This means that even if
a figure receives a death blow before his action, he still gets one last
action in.
I've been considering this for PBEM games, since it will greatly reduce the
number of move files that need to be exchanged in each round. I like the
original sequencing better FTF, but I think it'll be too cumbersome in PBEM.
I'd like to hear what others think.
