Re: (TFT) Skills and the poor Neanderthals

Well, I don't know that I really buy all that stuff about Neanderthals being
extinct, I mean you can walk down any street in any city here in MI and
you're bound to run into at least 3 or 4. When there still used to be
speed-metal bands (mid to late 80s) rather large numbers congregated at the
shows and a few still persist at Powerhouse Gym.

Aren't Neanderthals just another distinct genotype that's blurred into the
human melting pot over time? How many distinct Picts are left these days, or
even Celts for that matter? Certainly by the time the Roman Empire finally
died there wasn't one roman (of the 'original' italian peninsular genotype)
left in Rome.

But all the same maybe there's some sort of "racial memory" of an earlier
ancestor possessed by all of humanity. At least there would seem to be so
judging by the prevalence of Sasquatch, Yeti, White Ape, Wildman and Bigfoot
stories there seem to be out there. I mean, is there any culture that
doesn't have stories about some "primitive-looking" hairy guy running around
in the wilderness? But then most cultures seem to have some sort of dragon
story too...
