I don't remember, but luckily I bought "The Mavericks's Space & Fantasy
Gamer's Guide" which tells me this article was "Reality in Melee" by Ronald
Pehr in Space Gamer #20, page 23. 

The Macedonians in that article didnt carry sheilds.
