Nope. That's kindof my point. With all due respect (and I do mean that) -
what would be the point of looking at D&D 3e?

core complaints seem to be addressed.

I could be wrong - and I'll probaby look at a friend's verson, but my CORE
complaints are Classes and Levels.

Without addressing those - by throwing them away - all the rest of my
complaints are minor.

It's just my opinion that there are TOO many things wrong with D&D that
haven't been changed. That CANT be changed without making a whole new
system. Maybe they DID make a whole new system and just called it D&D. But
no one has told me thats the case. They still have classes and levels and
Armor Class and Hit Dice and all that other 'baggage' that's not for me...

What is this 'scalability' problem that TFT has?

Well, if your happy with that, that's great - but I was *never* thinking
"Gosh I wish D&D did this....". I just don't care what D&D is about. It's
got nothing to do with my hobby (role-playing) any more than Magic The
Gathering does. They are superficially similar but not really connected at
all...

If you like D&D3 that's great, but that means that you CAN deal with
classes and levels. I personally can't and dont see anything good about
them. I believe they will DEFINITELY and INEVITABLY influence the way you
play to limit the players imaginations.

I'm perfectly proud to be a D&D snob. No one else has agree or like that I
am, but I think it's the most reasonable position and the one that's the
best for the advancement of the hobby as an art form.

If there were more D&D snobs, there would be less hack and slash and better
quality products for everyone instead of the usual junk the RPG industry
produces --- Oh goody, the'yre bringing back Greyhawk! Orks the Roleplaying
Game! Kewl!

Just my opinion...

Michael
