(TFT) Is a sweeping blow physically cutting thru your target?

Hi Dan,
I do not consider a sweeping blow to
actually cut thru the first victim. I
consider sweeping blows to be a series of
shallow cuts across the fronts of several
figures.

What about a concept of "blow-thru" damage? For example, look
at Arpad Zloty (sometimes called "the Cruel") in Death Test 2.
He gets to use the sweeping blow with that cute little axe of
his, allowing him to strike at all figures in his front hexes.

But I don't think this tracks with reality. A sweeping blow
should allow me to attack each figure but stop the attack
as soon as my weapon cannot "pass thru" to the next opponent.
A "pass thru" could defined as an attack which results in a
graze or a dismemberment.

For example, suppose I attack 3 figures with in my front hexes
with a sweeping blow. I hit the first with regular damage for
5 points. But the first figure is wearing plate, which stops
6 hits - my blow doesnt go through the victim and so my sweep
comes to an end.

Now suppose I hit the first figure for 16 points of damage.
This cuts through the armor, doing 10 points of damage to the
victim. If my weapon passes through the victim (maybe a roll
would be required?), I can go on to attack the next victim at
a FURTHER DX AND DAMAGE minus.

Obviously this idea needs to be fleshed out a bit more -- but
do you all think it has any merit?
