I just knew that someone would calulate the actual odds for a bad storm.(So
here's my question. If I handed you an Orc (uhhh call it a caravan ambush)
would this be a problem? Or consider this, I know you as a PC wouldn't play
evil, but under the kind of circumstances described, what if I handed you an
NPC Thief?)

Non-humans would not be a problem. I'm pretty sure the group I played in would
have killed the NPC thief on sight and took the consequences. Male player
playing a female character never happened.
