It reminds me of Warcraft, Catan (the card game), and some other games as well as TFT; that makes me think it's got some good ideas in it (since they appear other places as well).
I can't help but mention.If there's about 31,557,600ish seconds in a year then that's 6,311,520 possable Melee turns.
The real trick is to match the timescales of games with different lengths of "turn".
I'll really sweat a little bit when the Sim City game comes out where I click on a "Sim" and go into Quake rather than get an information window. We are already there from a tech pov IMHO seeing as I can play Quake on my silly I-touch including mod paks. Just same old, same old vission as far as offerings go in the game world IMO.
Make the < A > keypress "LOOK" prettier instead of rethinking play options.Again IMO, I'll not see input devices that will rise above 'discriptive imagination' in my lifetime. I'll probably see aspects of such an I/O configuration... vid output will probably hit virtual reality levels, and probably audio too. And I'll put 10 to 1 that the VR vid & audio will first come with a "press < A > to attack interface. The lil' "Sim's" that "I" press on come up with a "Character Sheet" rather than a data window... =====
