Oh but also Helltank Destroyer has an interesting system (not sure if 
any other game does quite this) where there are several different 
technology time periods, and the equipment has different capabilities 
and ratings based on which tech period a scenario takes place in, so 
there are several different equipment matchups using the same set of counters.

Compared to more modern games, in some ways it has more 
sophistication and depth.

And of course it shows what we all know, that ye olde gamers could 
get by with tiny basic counters thanks to imagination.
