The Polish conducted cavalry charges during the Polish campaign in 1939. Similarly, the Soviets did so during at least the first two years of the war in the East, and may have afterwards as well.

From the quality, I have no idea. There are very few examples of videos of cavalry charges that are even period that I'm seeing. The Last cavalry charge I'm aware of was WWI and that's already only the early days of video. Getting video from before that period is difficult. So I'll take what I can get. Like with the rough riders video, that was staged for the video, but at least a good example of how closely and quickly a real cavalry unit moved at the time.

Isn't that a reenactment?

I've watched it a dozen times since this discussion started. It fades at an inopportune time, but my best narrative is that the lancers charged and took shell shot from the big guns. The artillery troops then took skirmish formation and fired at the oncoming cavalry formation. There is a fade as the cavalry reaches their position, but you can then see the foot troops charge forward into the approaching cavalry where after a very short time they are dead. The lancers begin waving hats, etc in celebration.

- From 1900, also from Thomas Edison's collection, speed an actual cavalry charge during the boer war, but it was against artillery and guns and not against lances
