To properly integrate guns with TFT, I think you need to add two elements:

1. Some form of overwatch or opportunity fire; and

2. The ability to interdict a fire lane (for machineguns).

Other than that, I think TFT's combat system works quite well for fantasy
and for modern/sci-fi.
