There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with GURPS until you try to use one 
of the page references in (parentheses).  I own the first and second addition 
and at least two dozen (I've lost count) of the supplements/world books and 
I'd have to say the parenthetical page references are correct about 15% of 
the time.  I mean, often enough that I am surprised when one is actually 
right on.  The indexes are generally very accurate though.  

Anyway Steve Jackson is at least able to communicate the concept of clear and 
playable rules which is certainly more than you can say for Gary Gygax or any 
of the  poor souls chained to any of I.C.E.'s thunderous duds.
