Re: [Slope: Ch 12] New Monster - Flame Fiends. Comments are welcome.
On the topic of rules-as-written TFT, it seems to me kind of
problematic that if a 7-hex (or larger) dragon is engaged, that (if I
understand correctly) it can't change facing by even one 60-degree
until/unless it gets un-engaged, because it can only move one hex, as
measured by the maximum any of its hexes move. At most, you might let
it rotate 30 degrees by moving the tail and head in opposite
directions one hex, but then the shape of the dragon's 7 hexes no
longer fits neatly in the other hexes, which there are no defined rules for.
Of course, it can shift onto other figures and push them back or
knock them down, and it can use its tail to knock down more and its
claws and maybe breath to strike down another one or two (unless it's
being engaged from the side/rear).
Seems like a potential problem to me. I think I may have
mis-remembered the ability of dragons to face any direction one a
Shift by swinging their body around at will, from having decided they
should be able to change facing like everything else can.
